A few pics of my car..

Featured Replies

Evening all,

Well I thought I'd share a few pics of my own car with you guys now it's upto scratch.

Big thanks goes to Simon (Baker21) for a helping hand with the machine polishing stage.

I won't bore you with the prep side of things as it doesn't mean much to most without the process pics.

In terms of products used, here's a bit of rundown:-

3 layers of Zymol Glasur on the roof & bonnet.

4 layers of Zaino Z2 (with Z6 & Z8 between layers) on all other panels.

G-Techniq G3 on the glass

G-Techniq C4 on all the black mouldings & scuttle panel.

Chemical Guys Wheel Guard on the offside wheels, G-Techniq C5 on the nearside wheels.

Autoglym Lifeshine protection on the carpet, mats & leather sections of the seats.

303 Aerospace protectant on all interior & engine bay plastics.

So there we go, that should easily see it through the upcoming winter months with it's weekly wash keeping on top of things.

The eagle eyed amongst you may have noticed the change in wheel bolt covers - originally running with the black chrome ones but wanted something a bit more subtle & one to cover the locking bolt too so swapped to the VW OEM ones in the last pic.

Other mods I've done:-

Bosch Aero Wipers

LED sidelight bulbs

Philips Xtreme Vision +100 headlight bulbs

VRS wheel centre cap decals - thanks to Cliff (pastyboy) for those.

Forge Split-R dump valve

Wheels refurbed in Dark Anthracite - www.lepsons.com

Sanded & Hammerited the disc hubs (the bit visible when looking through wheel spokes between spokes & disc face) & the rear disc backing plate.

Mods planned for the start of 2011 - caliper strip & repaint, paint the chrome section of the front grille & S3 strut braces.

Thanks for looking :)

Chris

Very nice indeed,

Which Ferrari workshop do you work for, if you don't mind me asking, as a rele has a 360.

Very nice, you can get anthracite ones from skoda including the locking wheel nut . I hope you can make them out

Funnily enough I spotted those in one of your previous threads  ...I wanted the black ones to match the centre cap decal & to contrast with the wheel colour.

I'm sure I could pop round in 2011 when the weather improves ;) ...probably would have sold it by then though :giggle:

So when do you want to do my car?

Top effort though.

Well, well, well, didn't think I would see this up on the forum but you have impressed, really looks super slick in the flesh this and I think this can be easily seen with the depth in the pictures.

Have to say this is a bit of a minter of a motor, interior is immaculate and obviously Chris looks after it well, good to see you back in a Skoda and try and keep this one for a little longer.............

Will be in touch soon reference the next 'big one'..............
