Lonely Yeti seeking new home

Featured Replies

I've got a 1.4TSi SE in Steel Grey that needs a new home. It's not been registered but I have used it for 4 demos and I took it for a fairly lenghty drive when I first got it to form an opinion of the 1.4TSi engine. So it's done 95 miles but not actually ever been registered.

It's a Steel Grey Metallic SE with drivers and passengers lumbar support adjustment and light assist. List price is £17,325 as per the brochure.

However I would like to sell it before the end of the year, only so it falls in this years figures.

If anyone on here would like to re-home this Yeti it's yours for £15,996.07 which works out at £250 per month on a PCP with a £3k deposit or £385 on a 2.25% hire purchase deal both over 3 years.

I'll happily anything in part exchange if it helps secure a deal. I've included some photos of said Yeti which includes a bonus Yeti in the background... B)

Remember- A Yeti is not just for Christmas.

Afraid that I haven't got room for two Yeti's otherwise I might consider it. But out of curiosity what was your opinion of the 1.4TSi engine?

I really like it, I've driven it lots in the Octavia so I knew what to expect. Although being a lazy driver I think I prefer the 1.2TSi DSG, I'd love a DSG TDi but I don't think I'll be getting a demo one of those anytime soon as they take ages to come through! I'm not sure why the factory doesn't offer the 1.4TSi with DSG as that would be a perfect blend of performance and economy.

Now this is tempting. How much would the final payment be on the PCP?

Based on 10k miles per annum it's £6,229.35 from memory from the emails we exchanged earlier in the year your annual mileage was 6k?

If you do the finance based on 6k per annum the monthly drops to £238 and the final payment goes up to £6,710.45.

You can make the deposit whatever you like as long as it's between £500 and £4,798.82.

If you wanted to part ex the Boxster I can give you a cheque back for the difference between it's value and your chosen deposit.

Thanks James. That's certainly food for thought. Like the sound of the black DSG too.

Isn't that naughty using trade plates for a demo?

  • Author

No, not at all. It would be illegal to not show trade plates on an untaxed unregistered car though.

Having driven my 1.4 for a few days now, I can confirm the engine pulls very well indeed and is very relaxing to drive. Moreso than I thought it would be just looking on paper. I can't get over how smooth and quiet it is. I have to check the rev counter when I pull up to see that the engine is still running!

I haven't had chance to assess economy properly yet, but performance wise its a good choice.

Hi James I take it the bonus Yeti is Pat, if so I hope you gave "The Pedestrian" :giggle: a lift to the station :p

  • Author

Yes, the pedestrian was carefully delivered to the station where I shall see him again in a few months.
