Fabia VRS won't start?

Hi. I have a 2006 Fabia VRS. Got in the car this morning, turned the key, engine fired for 2 seconds then stopped. Went to restart and the engine will not crank over. Checked the battery and it shows 13 volts. Tried jump leads but this made not difference. The engine will not crank over. Any ideas?

Could it be the starter solenoid?

What should I check next?

Welcome to Briskoda, sorry to hear of the trouble you are having with your Fabia vRS, I'm not sure on your query but sure someone will be along to help.

Sounds like it could be a couple of things and some of the ideas that are running though my head are very expensive :(

Could be a dodgy temperature sensor.
