Yes i agree about the poor quality of the Mark2 Fabia interior - it's a relief to get back into my lovely old Mark1. It's puzzling that Skoda would risk all that money spent on improving brand awareness by trying to save a pound or two on door handles. And it's a mystery why Skoda thought it necessary to "facelft" the exterior, which never seemed to be a problem, rather than attending to the design and quality of the interior which has been criticised from all quarters since its introduction.

To be honest having owned 4 Fabia's two mk1's and two mk2's I have to say the current face lift has the best looking, feeling and quality interior of the lot the plastics and design is much higher and the switches seem better. In fact the whole package is far and away better than the mk1 ride handling everything. The door handles do look cheaper and it is one of the few negatives i have and the only criticism is that they cant be seen in the dark which means i have to reach for interior lights when i have passengers as they cant be seen. I have no doubt that they will last a long time my previous mk2 has been subject to grandparents who pulled at them like there was no tomorrow thanks to anti hijack :S and they have survived without issue.
