Im having my car resprayed next week and the rear arches could do with changing really, whe nthe chap spoke to the place he orders from they said they only had the rear arches for the pre facelift, but i thought that they were the same as the facelift??

Could someone just confirm that the pre facelift rear arches will or will not fit the facelift.

The only body panel that significantly changed with the facelift was the bonnet - there are however a lot of differences in panels and parts between the original 1994 body and the 02/95 onward reinforced body. In this case, however, VW only list one part number for the outer rear arch panel regardless of age, so I would take that to mean that any repair panel should be OK.
