What should I get done at next Service (125k mls)?

Featured Replies

Hi,

my Superb 1.9tdi needs it next Service very soon. It has currently 125k miles on the clock, and I haven't really had any mechanical problem with it at all so far. I get it serviced at a very good independent VAG specialist, but I was wondering if I should get anything done that maybe is not on the usual Servicing list.

Timing Belt was done at 75k, so I am good on that one, and I got the Pollen Filter checked/sealed and the Brake Fluid changed at 105k miles.

Is there anything you recommend to get done at this stage (like Gearbox Oil, Power Steering fluid etc.) or to get checked out?

Regards,

dsab

I would change the gearbox oil using genuine skoda fluid. I changed my power steering fluid last week as it was a dirty brown colour. It's quite expensive stuff though, at about £10 per litre. When was the fuel filter done? It's probably worth changing that if it hasn't been done recently. Coolant, if it's not on the list?

Is there anywhere a list that Skoda uses when maintaining their cars? I have one old list from the 15000 km maintenance on paper. Then I'll know what to do on my own and what to let maintenance do.
