I wouldn't say it was that brilliant a deal (sorry) unless it came with some worthwhile warranty. I'd have hoped for a bit cheaper. But it does look in good condition based on the pictures.

It's got fsh with it and every stamp to prove. It's in better condition than the pictures think. No big scratches or marks anywhere. I did not mind spending more but this was the best bodywork and interior I'd seen yet

Personally, I like the MPi as it's easy and cheap to fix (other than the suspension bushes, which seems to be a problem with all VAG cars).

...don't wish to scare you - the point is more that it's cost about 600 quid a year (so fifty quid a month) for tax, servicing AND repairs so it might be useful to budget on that basis!

To be honest I'll be happy with that as it's costing twice that at least with the mk1 plus I'll be warmer !!
