06 plate TFSI Vrs DV upgrade...? Know of a how to..?

Featured Replies

Hi all.

Im pretty sure my vrs will have old and easily broken dv. can't feel or hear a problem but is this an easy thing to upgrade?

If so how?

You ideally need access to a ramp, or something to get the car up in the air.

Just 3 5mm allen key head bolts to remove the DV from the turbocharger.

Recommend replacing with 06H145710D which is the Piston valve from the S3.

and its as simple as taking old one off and putting new one on?

How much do you sell them for?

EDIT - thanks for quick response... :)

You can buy them from your local dealer for about £27

For a 'D' revision? crikey thats cheap, I thought they were over 40 quid! :o

I think I may invest before my service next month.

mine was £38. there are how to guides on here and the mk5gti.co.uk forum. think vRScarl has done them both

Was about that last time I bought one, but that was some time ago. Perhaps the price has increased for the newer DVs
