LED Lights

Featured Replies

So I've fitted some standard LED 501 sidelights and they're fab. I understand that white LED's are rubbish behind coloured lenses because they con't actually emit a broad colour spectrum. This makes sense to me, if they're not emitting red light then you won't see them behind a red lens.

Presumably however the red LED's are emitting red light (as I type that it seems too stupid to even ask) but do they have a broad enough colour spectrum to work for brake lights? Or are standard bulbs better?

Cheers.

LED'S are much much brighter, but they seem to shine straight forward and not to glow around! (if that makes sense). It may look as if you have a super shiny bright bulb but may not light up the whole brake lense. Make sense? I had them in my last car, they also come on and off like a flicker instead of a very slight fade when you release the brake.
