Climatronic crash in Superb 2007

Featured Replies

Hello again,

I know it sounds strange but yesterday evening it was the first time I drove the Superb when it's colder than 0 degrees (-1°C). It bought it in july with 6000 miles on clock.

But now the climatronic is doing crazy. When I put the lights on , I had no backlight on the climatronic screen and there was no read out of the outside temperature (- - °C).

I never seen this before, and I restart the engine but nothing changed. I switch on the lights again ... nothing.

The ventilation and airco seems to work well, but I couldn't see it in the dark without backlight.

Then after 5 houres I started the engine again and it seems to work all fine. backlight and read out are OK.

So I now checked the climatronic fault codes by pushing the recirculation button and econ button at same time:

S38 00

Is dissapearing on the screen!! Before it was 444.

What could this be, is action needed urgently?

Thanks

Mine would do that now and again, and also the mfd would show metric and that the car was a van, it's a glitch, and I'm not the only one whose noticed it.

Ditto. Has happened to me about 3 times in the 22 months ive had the car.

Me too once in four years. Haven't seen it in a year and a half though, thankfully

Me as well. Off one night and --oC and when I went to investigate what I thought was going to be a loose plug next morning all was well again.
