Dragon tuning box

Featured Replies

Just picked one of these up on ebay, and was just wondering if anyone here is running one, and if so what setting you are using for the best all round performance/ MPG.

Thanks

andy

My dragon digital box is currently on the lowest setting, and I only turn it up to the highest setting when going for a drive round cumbria

Had one and took it off within 48 hours/

Clutch started slipping and found it a bit on the 'steppy' side at lower revs too tbh.

Didn't 'arf give it some waft though I must be honest.

Must have another look at mine to see if it can be de-tuned/turned down. Might lob it back on if I can.

I had one of these for about 5-6 months. Clutch started to slip almsot instantly - just have to learn to drive it differently!

Really gave a big kick up the arse, but quite smoky!

i had one on my last fabia and it was great. had it for 12 month on highest setting with no problems. opted for a remap though on my 2nd vrs.

Thanks for the replies :)

Might go with a middle setting, and see how it pans out.

I have had one mine for about 3 years now with no problems, when i got it i was not sure which setting to use so i gave them a ring they was great told me a few setting to try in the end set at the middle setting and had no clutch slip but it does smoke when you boot it.

I'm going to go with the middle setting starting out, did you notice any difference in MPG ?

No i think its about the same mpg, just depends how heavily your right foot is.

Sweet, will let you know how i get on with it once i get the car back B)

Ran mine on Max for a year or so before I got my remap - did the job pretty well, but not as smooth as the map. Don't forget to tell your insurer, of course...

It will be good fun, I have since put mine on the highest setting

Ive ran mine for a few years now and its been great, it came on the car so Ive never driven a standard 130bhp VRS. My misses got me a REVO 170bhp remap a couple of weeks ago so its on Ebay for sale with a few days left on it. Check it out if your looking for one

Apart from the REVO 3-3.5k 'squirt' I didnt feel a lot of difference and I was a little disappointed. Shows how good the dragon box was. The remap is smoother but I didnt get any clutch slip and minimal black soot out the exhaust.

Big thumbs up from me anyway. :) :)

where can you purchase these?

where can you purchase these?

You can no longer purchase Dragon Tuning Boxes as the company went into liquidation a few years ago. Plus they rarely come up for sale used.

ollymonkeynuts has one for sale on eBay
