How do i remove the plastic cover from driver seat base

Featured Replies

Between the CV joints, bushes, rattles, leaky doors etc...

I now have a squeaky seat! I need to lubricate it but don't know how to remove the plastic base...

Any advice?

Sorry to tell you this but you need to remove the seat

Could you not raise its height right up, and spray some WD40 or something into the sweaky areas?

You don't have to remove the seat. There is a cover right under the front of the seat (where the storage flap is on the passenger seat. This can be gently removed. It's a bit akward though. Once you remove the door, spray WD40 on to the springs. It took me a 4 times before the squeak stopped. Here's hoping it doesn't come back any time soon!

Ps a guy replied when i asked the same question and noted how to remove the plastic cover, but i cannot find my original post. Try searching google!

Yes, but I nearly broke mine off. Like I said, a guy replied to my original post stating exactly how to do it without breaking it.

I'd suggest you use google (like I said in MY ORIGINAL POST!)

WTF???? If you want to remove the plastic surrounding the seat runners as asked in the op, you have to remove the seats as the plastic is screwed on to the metal base.
