Evening everyone,

Can anyone recommend any decent cd players that aren't to flashy as I don’t fancy my windows being smashed, I have just got my fabia vrs on Friday after part exchanging my punto abarth which had all the mod cons. I am looking for a cd player which has an aux port for my iPhone

Thanks

What about leaving the standard head unit as it is and then using a Connects2 device for the iPhone? I think they are about £35 so could be a cheap solution.

Edit: The link for the device is here.

I'd recommend getting a head unit with bluetooth support. You can then do in car calls as well - most of them have a mic built into the head unit which should work reasonably well in the fabia. You can get them starting at about £70 new, probably a lot less if you buy a used one. They tend to have 3.5mm and usb inputs as well.

Depends if your iphone supports bluetooth, i suppose. I know my iphone 4 does, dunno about previous models as I've never used one.

I'm pretty sure Wardy did a lot with Parrot units and he reckoned they were very good with iPhones/iPods etc.

Have a look at the Parrot RKi8400 - it does pretty much everything you could want for £180 fitted at Halfords and it's very plain until you turn it on. The iPod even lives inside a neat stow-away compartment inside it when it's in use.

If your after cheap cd player with a front aux i got my girlfriend a jvc jobber from halfords they had a good deal on, looks pretty bog standard but has the front aux and is actually quite a good stereo, i think i paid 70-75 in june.

I've just fitted one of these...

Halfords-Sony Unit

Does everything i wanted...charges iphone from usb port (some didnt) allows me to control iphone music from either head unit or iphone itself and also integrates nicely with the iphone tom tom app. Plus bluetooth handsfree calls.

Only thing it doesn't do as said above is match the green of the display lights.
