Well - the hill in question in the original post has now been closed to all traffic by LB Lewisham as impassable (the gritter couldn't do it) - so who is the fool now?!!? Erm...

Go for it, I won't tell :)

A car with real good winter tyres can handle this without any risk! If it is only snow! If you meet an icy part on this road, then you are going to crash.

My Dunlop SP1's were great back in January during the last really bad snow, I was really rather impressed.

Unfortuantly it would seem 10 months and 5,000 miles later they have lost their edge.

I took this picture as I left work yesterday, 30 seconds later all four wheels were happily spinning away but I was going no where!

After a few forward and backward shuffles I was away, still I was a little gutted :giggle:
