snow tyres

i have a 59plate octavia vrs 2litre i know nothing about cars hubby doesnt drive not going anywhere in snow even skiding on the flat in slush [maybe my driving] waht are snow tyres should i get some or is there anything else i can do? im a nurse and need car for work but relying on lifts atm my old octavia se went everywhere no prob sales dont tell u downside when buying

Vickie I bought Vredestein snowtrac extremes XL from Tyremen.com about £130 per tyre they are brilliant been all over eastate roads untreated and never got stuck, I cant emphasise enough how good these are.:)

Welcome to Briskoda.

Snow Tyres (winter tyres) offer better grip and repel water/snow off a lot quicker than a normal tyre as they have better tyre tread patterns.
