Anyone Fitted LED sidelights

Featured Replies

basically got some led side light bulbs with the built in resisters so the car doesnt register the bulbs out, but on leaving the car overnight, upon starting in the morning the indicators register a bulb out, flash the indicators and the warning goes out, only does it if you leave the car overnight, its not the indicator bulbs as they are both fine, what could cause it?? Not for my fabia btw lol

My LED sidelights occassionally did something weird too on my old Octy 2 VRS. If I recall it was the sequence of starting the car that caused it. If I put the lights on after the engine was started everything was fine but if I started the engine with sidelights already on then sometimes I got a bulb failure alarm.

Never found the cause but it never was a problem either.

interesting ill get him to try that as he does have the auto headlights setting on, on the switch, thanks

Had my CANBUS sidelights in for 2 months now...no problems at all.

Bad practice turning on anything electrical before starting the engine so your LED bulbs may well do you a favour in the long run!

Turn off the 'cold diagnostics' for parking lights using VCDS (controller 9) and you should be fine with your LEDs.
