Octavia II diesel starting problem solved

Symptoms :- Octavai II diesel parked overnight and in morning would start as normal, but cut-out after approximately 2 seconds.

Immobiliser warning light not showing key mis-match.

After 9 days fault traced to high resistance in the circuit supplying the gateway unit under passenger side dash panel. Gateway unit was

only receiving around 6 volts. New wire run in from fuse box to supply gateway unit and engine bay fusebox supply fuse removed.

All is now good.

Haven't investigated original circuit due to weather, but would suspect corrosion or a dry joint under the fuse box somewhere.
