Hi, sorry if its been covered/no one cares but i thought it would be quite handy to see what oil everyone uses and where they buy it from (and how much)

Normally from Opie oils (forum sponsor), but a bought a 'few' 5 litre bottles of VW507.00 Mobil1 when ASDA were clearing out the last of their stock for £15 a bottle!! (they now stock Castrol).

Oh and if you are not aware you should only be using VW spec oil in VAG engines, forget the 5W-40 / 0W-30 etc viscosity, it's the VW50x.xx that is important.

Yeah good point but halfords do a VW specific for £42. The standard one is £38 or £18 on trade which i used to get for my previous cars but the VW stuff on trade only goes down to £36 which is why im looking for other places :/
