The 3 door Furby Vrs

Featured Replies

Does anybody know if/when Skoda will be releasing the three door Fabia Vrs. Just read the Autoexpress article this week, got a decent right up, interesting to see they quote 0-60 as a second quicker than skoda do.

3-door fabia is a no go. The closest you can get is a Ibiza TDI FR 130 which costs more.

Skoda don't make a 3-door version of the Fabia at all - I'd be surprised if they were planning to make one especially for the vRS, especially as they've already released a 5-door version which is selling quite well...

However, that's not based on any official statements from Skoda - could be worth contacting them directly for a proper answer?

Rob.

I doubt a three door version of the Fabia will be release so far into life cycle of the current model.

Some journalist being a bit creative?

No 3 door Fabia whatsoever in this models lifetime.

the 0-60 is the timing that they found using calibrated test equipment and is also not too dissimilar to the timings found by members of this forum.

My mistake then, I'm sure I read somewhere that a 3 door was planned. Ah well, will have to stick with the plans for a 5 door then.

There were rumours a while ago, but as the model is coming up to 5 years old without one in sight, it is extremly unlikely.

I remember rumours a couple of years ago about Skoda releasing a smaller car, which would be 3-door and based on the Lupo platform...nothing seems to have come of this though.

Don't recall a rumour for the Fabia - thought the extra doors were why people bought them anyway? :D

I don't think any vRS is a 3 door be it Fabia or Octavia.

i like it having 5 doors :)

I also like having the 5 doors for practicality, however not often do people get in the back.... ironically when I had a dinky little 3 door Micra I was quite often carrying passengers, but nowadays its mainly just me driving it - makes me wonder whether i shouldnt have just bought a little 2 seater coupe :D

I think its a pity the Furby wasnt available as a slightly lower looking 3 door model. If Skoda would make a 180 bhp 1.8T 3 door Fabia with big brakes and even lower suspension I'd seriously consider trading for it...

.. IMHO that would also lead to a massive increase in popularity ... which is good and bad, given that i could see it could become one of the top options for the dodgy baseball cap wearing fraternity (and potentially thieves etc). Im sure that the 5 door aspect and the Skoda badge currently protect the model from some of this at the moment but it wouldn't take much to change it. :(
