I have no boost!

Featured Replies

2004 53 Fabia vRS

I've had the codes read as:

P1549 and P1156

I have no boost either. I know the P1156 is MAP sensor related so..

I've taken the MAP sensor off & cleaned, and it's still the same. The codes just came back, and I still have no boost.

Can anybody help?

Kinda desperate :( The Car's supposed to be sold on Friday!

Assumed you would have - worth offering though.

Good luck!

Both faults are MAP sensor related. One is for temp, the other for pressure. Sounds like the MAP sensor has died, OR the wiring connection to the MAP sensor has become broken somehow. Basically BOTH faults relate to the same sensor, and the car will remain in limp mode until its sorted. Best off getting the full error codes via vagcom. If its something like "short to A+" you know its the electrical side of things, if its "signal unknown" or something like that, then its new MAP sensor time. They're not cheap either.

Thanks for your help :)

The cars been on a Snap on diagnostics thing as there's nobody local enough with a VAGCOM set-up. It's going to the garage tomorrow morning, so i'll tell the mechanic that it's definitely MAP sensor related.
