Leather?

Featured Replies

I'd go as far as to say I wouldn't buy the VRS with the non leather interior. I just don't like those pale panels, either the way they look or their potential for looking grubby.

Even in the coldest weather recently I find the non heated seats leather seats warm up quickly. It is a question of personal preference but I've no need of heated seats.

VAT deal - if you order before 31st Dec you'll get the benefit of the 'VAT free' deal, even though delivery will be 2011. There is obviously still a VAT element in the price you pay (the deal is just a discount, not VAT free as such) which is currently 17.5% - again, if ordered before 31st Dec this will be protected - you won't pay 20%. Ditto the 0% finance.

This is my experience anyhow - ordering via Carfile.

One last point about the leather seats is that I find them more comfortable than the fabric seats I had in my previous vRS (07), particularly the seat base somehow doesn't seem so narrow (that or my a*se has got smaller  )

I noticed with the leather seats in my FL Elegance that the side supports on the base were not as high as my pre FL model. Thought it was a FL thing until I went in my mate's FL Elegance that has fabric seats.

If you look at the pics posted in this thread you can definitely see that the full leather option has a flatter base with lower side supports than the standard.

Heated seats are a compulsory add-on with Elegance leather - they are OK but take ages to warm up - on these really cold mornings it takes 2-3 miles before they start to feel warm. The cold shock when you first sit on 'em goes anyway in a few seconds even with no heating on.
