Note that the Association of British Insurers says "if anyone is told they do in fact have to pay more when they fit those tyres, they are advised to contact their insurance company's head office directly".

Thats good news! Ive seen a number of small articles in the national press regarding the rip off thinking of some insurance companies when it comes to the fitment of winter tyres.

Lets hope this is the end of that money making practice! :yes:
