Hi all

I'm a brand new member and very happy owner (2yrs next easter) of a Roomster Scout.

I'm wanting to get some winter tyres and 205/45 r16 (what's fitted now) are probably not the easiest of sizes to find in a winter tyre! Anyway, I'd rather have a higher profile and for convenience I'm wanting to get some 6jx15" rims to fit some 195/55 r15 tyres.

I believe this is the size "normal" roomsters and fabias get as standard, but I'm wondering how I can find out how to find out what other VW group models will fit(correctly) to increase my chance of getting some 2nd hand ones.

Yeh, cheapskate I know.

My Roomster Scout had 17" rims from the factory. So far I know that 17x7j Audi TT Comps will fit it (not much use to you I know)

As you can see the father in laws Roomster runs 15" rims although I don't know the name. He did swap steelies for alloys so for winter use it might be worth you seeing if your local dealer has some steelies that you can buy?

The regular size wheels fitted to the Roomster Scout are 16" rims. I would be 99.9% sure that Fabia vRS wheels will fit and indeed the 16" VW LeCastallets wheels that I'm currently running on the fabia will also fit. Alas, I've never run anything smaller than 16" so I'm not able to advise on other VAG compatible wheels

Lol, they aren't tyres on the 17" rims they're rubber bands or perhaps something you'd find on a traction engine!

Seriously though I'm also smiling because of the carry on I've had trying to convince them at my local dealers that I surely didn't have to stick to 16" rims.
