Hi, I'm having a problem with my alarm on my 2001 fabia 1.4 16v elegance. It has started going off every time I lock my car, it starts about 30 seconds after I leave the car. I thought at first it may be a voltage drop so I put the battery on charge overnight....it didn't make any difference. There are no codes showing on my code reader. Bizarrely if I leave a door open and lock and set the alarm it doesn't go off. I've tried it with all three doors and the boot, the drivers door though HAS to be shut to activate the lock/alarm!.

Can anyone guide me to a solution for this?

If left to its own devices what is the pattern of my alarm? does it stop after a while or keep sounding at regular intervals? Can I disable the siren somehow and still lock the car? I've tried different key presses with the key in the lock and although the flashing light on the door thingy stays off the damn alarm still sounds
