Since when are they not allowed to hive out part numbers?? I'm needing an alternator and need the part number for it so I can order a replacement and don't fancy paying skoda prices...

Anyway, if someone here has access to skoda parts list can you look up an alternator for a 2001, Y reg. 1.4 16v 90 amp alternator, reg Y828 BLS.. Much appreciated, need asap as need car fixed before this weekend!!

Also what size torx bit to take wing mirror cap off??

Have a look on the one that is on the car, providing it is a genuine Skoda part it will have the part no on it.

Checked vagcat, got to alternators and the it just gives part numbers, no description of what car it fits ??
