Saab 9 3 X

Featured Replies

The 4x4 version. Spotted first one today, whilst driving around in my Skoda Octavia Scout. Looked good, not a lot of ground clearance though.

Thought I would check out the price.

New version of my Scout with the Haldex 4 system & a few extras, £22,500.

Saab 9 3X equivalent, £29,900!!

Blimey, that is serious money. The Scout has about a 6 month waiting list, they cannot make them quickly enough. Result is that my Scout is worth more now than when I bought it off the leasing company in September.

Once again though Saab has managed to miss a massive trick in Europe. No 4wd with the Diesel = uncompetive for anyone that uses their car everyday.

When will the maufacturers learn that Petrol and 4x4 don't go together well for European buyers?

The real choice remains limited:

Scout

Outback

A4 Allroad

XC70

A6 Allroad

With all others a good deal pricier than the Scout!

I've noticed the 2nd hand market is holding well too for the Scout. And for that reason I think I shall hang on to mine & run it into the ground.
