Doh! help needed as keep blowing fuses

Featured Replies

Well this is my fault for being a tighwad! :giggle: brought a 2 way splitter thingy from ebay for the 12v / lighter socket and the end fell off into the socket! tried to remove it with my finger :o found the power was still on! dont try it at home it bites! the little bit of metal that had fallen off dissapeared (for those of you like me that have never had the inclination to look in to the 12v socket it has cut outs in its side) and it disappeared, so i assumed it would be ok. By this time the fuse had blown replaced it and all was well.... for about 3 weeks until this morning when it has blown two fuses. Cant see anything in the socket so i think i need to take it out and have a look, the question is how?

I did think about taking it to the dealer but not sure my acting is up to a "really how did that get in there"
