Hi there newbie here so apologies if this has already been covered. I might be looking in the wrong place

Engine management light was on but is now off. A couple of times (randomly) the car would start from cold ok, but then would then lose power, revs would drop & turn over very slowly like on 1 cylinder I guess. When #i switch off & re-start car runs ok

Does the EML only stay on for a certain time & the fault is stored? or does this mean whatever problem there was has fixed itself? , or should I still get the car scanned ?

Car appears to be running ok, & mpg is what I would expect for this time of year

I would recommended the car being scanned to see if the fault codes are logged then post them up on here and go from there.
