vRS 1.4TSI dsg, Engine fault

For your information all new vRS owners.

My car had a "little" problem running at full throttle.

Problem:

Kick-down -> an ignition fail (approx. 6000rpm) -> not shifting, cylinders off one by one -> massive power loss (dashboard was like a christmas tree)

Cause of the problem:

This kind of plastic chips was in the intake pipe between intercooler and throttle body.

Nobody knows how that plastic got there (probably from the factory).

At least one of the fuel injectors burned down because of plastic chips.

So be aware.

Dealer took care of this issue just fine. Now the car has new injectors and cleaned intake pipes.

The car is now running and works well, hopefully there will not be any problems afterwards.

Thats good news. Should with luck just be a one off problem , but I assume the dealer will inform Skoda so they can find out how this problem happened.
