TYRES

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have some fairly new "infinity Ditch Magnets" on the front put on be a previous owner that will not get the power down in the wet, and some almost at-the-limit Goodyear NTS5's on the rear.

Now... should I swap the Infinitys to the rear and replace the fronts with some falken 452's - I dont need input on tyre choice, save that for the other 25 threads  or replace all 4??

Obviously cash is an issue so if I can save money and still have a safe set up, I will be happy.

Never lost the back end and dont driven on the limit, or even that fast in the wet (the memory of writing off a previous car on a wet diesel soaked road), so will the Infinities work OK on the back?

Im guessing that even the Infiniti's have better grip that the goodyears as they are on the way out, but is that right?

Need them sorting this week as I dont fancy taking it over the Cat and Fiddle to see the parents as it is at the moment!

All input appreciated guys, thanks.

I was running 452's on the front and cheapo's on the rear didn't find any problems apart from the rear loosing grip on the ice now n then. Gonna swap the fronts to back in spring and get a new pair of 452's.

452's are good for the money, but not great in the wet.

If you can't afford to replace the Ditchfinders, put something decent on the back so you wear the DFs out faster.

Don't buy the 452's they are the biggest waste of cash that i've spent!!!!!!!!!!!! :@ I was told to run them in so put them on the rear for 2k then on the front. Might aswell have bought remoulds!! My car unerdsteers, locks up under breaking and i can light the tyers up even in 4th in the wet!!!!!!!!! I CANT PUT INTO WORDS HOW MUCH I HATE THESE TYERS!!!!!! My old worn goodyears with no tread on them gave more feed back then the 452's. So you get what you pay for!!!
