More about water ingress - Superb 2004

Featured Replies

Good evening,

The Superb was left on the drive without being unused for four - five weeks and when I went in to start it - guess what? The drivers and both rear footwells were wet, and I mean wet. Also a large quantity of ice is currently on the off side between the door catch and the outside of the car.

I subsequently opened the boot and that too was wet. I'm hoping that the cause is not the pollen filter problem and suspect that it may be the door seals / door alignment as droplets of water are clearly visible on the threshold when both rear doors are opened.

Any ideas anyone?

Sit in a car and let someone hose a water over the car. Then you can see, if the door seals are ok or not. Of course before that, check for drain holes under the hood and look pollen filter housing seal, if it is wet or not.
