Pairing a Phone with the Superb Bluetooth

Featured Replies

And before anyone says it, I haven't got a manual - I'm driving a demo car for 72hrs!

I've got to the bit where the car asks you to put a code into your phone (2222 3333 4444 5555), te phone says it is now a remote SIM but then the car seems to ask for another code. What do I do now?

Thanks in advance.

Cracking car by the way - shame my co.ca r list changed over the weekend so I can now only have the S rather than the SE - must be the Skoda price rise.

Hi Steve,

I've only been a superb owner briefly but re. the phone, I had the same "issue"... but I had to try a couple of times. I think I was told that it had failed (can't remember tbh) but I tried a couple more times... it did work. I'm not sure but I felt I wasn't entering the whole code in quick enough (I'm sure at least once it had booted me out before I'd finished). Its quite a few numbers to enter (more than the 4 that I've been used to).

The numbers change the 2nd & 3rd time you try but I felt once I was quick enough it worked like a dream, you can then down load your phone book & after that all you need is your right thumb to roll & click through the menu on the dashboard.

There is a list on here somewhere of the phones that work (& some that don't - as per the forum members). Skoda do also have a list of phones that work, a dealership printed it off for me but it is on the web / skoda site somewhere - I can't tell you where though.

If you're still stuck have a look for some older questions/threads or post again with the "next problem" if speed doesn't resolve i ;) - no doubt someone on here can help more than me.

Good luck

Stef

Mine took 2 or 3 attempts too, just keep at at

Does everyone else get the car either asking for a passord after the 2222333344445555 one is geiven to you by the car?

When I first paired my phone with the car, I was asked for the long number and found it quite difficult to get it entered in the time available. I eventually managed to do it and then received a prompt for a second code. It turned out that it needed the security code that I had set up on my phone. The one that I entered when I switched the phone on. I could either enter that code each time I paired the phone, or simlpy disable that secutity feature on the phone. Then everything worked properly. Perhaps that is your problem.

It is also possible to save your SIM card's PIN in the car, so you still have some security on the phone and don't need to enter the code in car each time they are pairing. That's what I have done.

Of Of course! It's the SIM PIN. All working now. Thanks all!

  • 3 weeks later...

I have exactly the same issue.

I have got to the point where I have entered the 16-digit pin.

I am prompted to enter another pin which I understand is the (4 digit) security PIN on my hanset in order to complete the pairing.

However I simply cannot see how I can actually enter (and / or store) the handset PIN on the car system - I cannot use the handset as it is not "paired" with the car.

Any direction (probably very simple), greatly appreciated.

Disable the SIM PIN option on the phone maybe?

Thanks.

Unfortunately do, but it is my work phone and company policy is to have this in place.

I think you enter the pin by using the up/down scroll on the right hand side of the steering wheel, and then press the same button to advance to the next digit.

.

Worked a treat.

Many Thanks.

Although havng been advised - it now seems obvious - did I miss this in the owners manual?

  • 11 months later...

Thanks a lot!

I was thinking of resolving to asking the dealer.(!)

In the manual there is only talk of a four digit code. It does not say that you have to enter all 16.

The manual also says that the default code was "1234", making me sure that it was a four digit code.

Also there was no mentioning of the phones PIN-code.

Will try again tomorrow. (Fingers crossed.)

Now I think I only have three faults left on my list:

1. I am tall an would like the windscreen to be taller

2. You cannot close the boot from inside or by key(?)

3. The dealer does not want to disable the seatbelt-warning, so I probably have to get a diagnostics tool to fix it myself.
