Blower fan not working

Featured Replies

Hi all my first post , nice to meet all

Ive borrowed my mates Skoda Fabia 1.9 diesel 2002

He has kindly agreed to give me a loan as my own car is goosed, Problem is there is no heating in the car what so ever, The air blower is not doing anything on any setting, all day ive been scraping the inside and I have nicknamed it the fridge ( colder inside than out )

Ive had a search around and think this appears to be common judging by previous posts , Some post suggest the resistor but is this not if only working on certain setting , or is it needing a new motor. Also suggestion that it could be loose connector , is this found at the footwell near the clutch?

I went out and tried to check fuse number 68 but seems ok.

Any advice appreciated , Id type more but fingers have frostbite as I had to go for a drive earlier.

sounds like it could be the fan motor wich is in the n/s footwell just check the feed at the plug on speed 4 and you should get 12v if so will need new motor but a reo stat (resister) could also do this have seen it before so dont ruel it out.
