Hello there. I'm new to the forum. I 'm not new to skoda's or the vag.

The car my wife drives is an 02 fabia estate, 1.4 petrol. We have owned the car for almost 2 years, clocking over 25k without problem, hence me not even needing to know about this forum, yesterday, however, the car would not start. When i got home my wife told me it would just turn over and not even try to start. It souned to me like the fuel had maybe frozen since we hadn't used it since last friday. When I tried the car the battery was flat, I'm assuming from her trying to start it all day.

For the 10 or 20 seconds it tried to start I could not hear the sound of a fuel pump.

I'm guessing fuel pump relay? where are the relays?

Is there a fuse that protects the fuel pump? location?

the owners manual is not telling me anything.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Anthony

Hi and welcome aboard.

It could be the temp sensor broke which will need replacing, this is a common fault on the Fabia Mk1
