Decided to de-ice the washer reservoir and jets today and increase the washer mix ratio to stop it freezing.

So when SWMBO went Christmas shopping I nipped upstairs and borrowed the hair dryer ..... as you do!

In the process of messing about and being asked by a neighbour what I was doing with a hair dryer under the bonnet I discovered that if the bonnet is open the washers and wipers are deactivated and will not operate.

Well I didn't know that.

It's the same if you open the boot
