I've looked through previous threads, and searched for this topic, but am not entirely sure if it's been answered or not (as there was a lot of technical jargon I'm not familiar with).

Basically, I have a Skoda Octavia with 'symphony' radio cassette with CD changer.

I also have a portable MP3 player which I would like to connect to the stereo.

However, FM transmitters and cassette adaptors have so far given very poor quality sound.

Is there any way to connect the MP3 player's line out to the back of the stereo? In place of the CD changer perhaps?

It's a company car, so I don't want to / can't change the unit. But I have no problems with fiddling about with anything that's currently in there.

Depends on the make/model of MP3 player.

I believe* that Dension do a kit for the Ipod, which may or may not work with whatever you've got.

I here what you say about the FM transmitters, but I do know the iTrip ones are very very good, ahving travelled with one a few times. Expensive, but good. Not that I'm endorsing them, as they're technically illegal.
