Has anyone noticed?

Since getting the Felly, I'm amazed at how many i've seen around the greater Ipswich area, along with plenty of Octavias & Fabias, and the odd Favorit, plus i saw a Roomster and Yeti. Proves these Suffolk folks have taste.

If any of you lot see a grey Magic on a T, with Hayes Clacton stickers/reg plates, give us a flash :) You will get a smile and silly wave in return

Welcome to Briskoda, yeah I've noticed a lot of Fabia estates since purchasing mine.

At least in the UK Skoda seems to be popular. Here in Australia the company seems to be a bit shy. The Skoda forum is a actually group within the VW forum (http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/content/) which doesn't diminish the owners' enthusiasm, there just doesn't seem to be that many. In fact, I haven't seen a Skoda on the road yet! I suppose probably because I use public transport to do most of my travel to and from work - some of the group members have posted sightings similar to yours. However, when I tell people that I'm buying a Skoda the reaction is usually either " . . a what?" or "A Skoda, you've got to be kidding?" because they are still viewed as a Soviet era car which is when they were last seen here prior to VW ownership. Time will tell.

I think the constant high scores in customer surveys here really opened peoples eyes, and they often realised they were paying top dollar for inferior products. Skoda consistently beat the parent VW, often because of arrogant dealers, and rip off prices. I remember the Skoda dealers of old..Small, independants, where customer service was king. Sadly, it seems in the corporateness, these are slowly vanishing. With big dealers, you are often an entry on a balance sheet, but with the small guys, you are a valued customer.

Eventually, down under, folks will realise what good cars Skodas are. My Felly is the 5th in the family now.
