Hi and season's greetings to all Skoda owners,

This is my first time out on one of these forum type thingy's, but having been recommended to try Briskoda by a colleague.....so here goes.

I have been running a Citroen ZX for the past thirteen years but sadly the old girl has reached the uneconomical to repair stage. I have looked at many cars but I have fallen for the Skoda Octavia. The thing is I can't decide between the 1.6 and the 1.9 diesel engined cars. I have also been let down by a main dealer who tried to put the price of a 1.6 SE up by £500, saying there had been a mistake on the ad!

So if any of you folks could recommend a dealer (main or independent) or you have a car for sale please drop me a line. And what should it be 1.6 or 1.9?
