Firstly Merry Chrimbo to you all and hope its been better than mine!

My front wipers on fabia vrs have stopped working and also the water jet has also stopped , there is no jet at the back iether but the wiper on the back works fine. I have checked the water bottle and it isnt split and I also checked the fuse and thats fine (swapped with the horn fuse and what a pain that fuse panel door is). I have tried to look for the wiper motor but havent a clue were it is, any one have any suggestions or helpfull tips I would apreciate it. It has been a bit cold but I made sure that all ice etc was removed from blades before they were switched on.

I did but I got too darn excited that I hadnt checked fuse 15 that I pulled my back getting at the fuse box. I'll make sure I get a 10 amp fuse first before I have another butchers but thanks for the quick responce.

As a temporary fix, you could use the fuse from the reverse light circuit. Remember that any fusebox diagram that you are likely to see will be for a left hand drive car, which will be a mirror image of that for a right hand drive car.

Thanks for the reply chaps, it was indeed fuse 15 that was causing the problem. The good news though is its not only fabias that have this problem. I couldn't get a 10 amp fuse for love nor money today in 5 of the major car and electrical retialers inlcuding maplin. It was only by accident that I came across a little shop and bought a packet of mixed (why do they do that) but its all sorted now. The guy at motorworld said that they have had loads of people cooming in with the fuses blown on the wipers so that at least made me a bit happy.

I'm surprised that Maplins don't sell them. I bet they were normal flat fuses, not the mini ones we need.

I would have said go to Halfords (probably expensive), Motorworld or a motor factors would sell them. Mine were 25p each from one car shop and another sold a pack of 4 for £1 or so.

Halfords is a rip off these days !

Esso petrol stations do a mixed pack of about 20 mini blades for £2 IIRC ?
