Well the car is back from it's 50k service - asked them to have a look at the tracking as lately I've been getting a bit of vibration through the steering wheel when driving at motorway speeds - unfortunately the front near side alloy is buckled and needs replacing - I think this happened when I slid into a kerb in an effort to avoid rear ending someone during the recent bad weather (the roads round here weren't gritted particularly well and it was like driving on sheet ice in some parts). Dealer has quoted £190 for an alloy - thought I'd try here before I shell out any more than necessary! So - if anyone has an unwanted Fabia vRS alloy lying around, preferably in good nick, how much ya want for it? I have decent tyres, just need the rim. Cheers guys. Mike

Try posting in here, might get something. Sorry to hear about the rim though, annoying that sorta thing. Done my tracking in doing something simular too.

Should be able to get a complete fabia vRS alloy & tyre, in really good condition, for half what the dealer said, by looking on fleabay etc. A complete mint condition set of 4 + tyres is rarely worth £400.

My local dealer (Delmore Inverness) Had a set of four for sale about 6 months ago. i was tempted when i saw the price cos they were only £150 for the 4!! Didn't come with tyres though!!

Having a badly scraped one, I looked on eBay for several weeks but nothing came up that didn't require refurbishing. The dealer sold me a new one for just over £150 - then a pair came up on eBay!!!

I'm keeping an eye out on the 'bay but nothing yet... cheers anyway buddy.

I dont know what it was for, but if they dont need it, they may sell it you cheap!!!
