I drive a petrol Fabia 2000. Once the engine gets hot, say after driving on the motorway, there is a tapping/phuttering noise from the engine which varies in intensity in relation to the revs. This has been going on for a while despite recent oil/filter change.

Is it serious??!

i'm thinking of buying the same model which makes the same noise - did you ever get to the bottom of what the noise was?
