VRS alarm/intermitent wiper probs

Featured Replies

yesterday i started having some problems with my vrs. the intermitent wiper stopped working whilst the other's are fine, and the alrm keeps going off when parked and locked up. I also noticed that when i lock the doors the lights dont flash, i'm sure they used to, to let me know that the alarm was set? any ideas what may be happening?

hhmm, all is not rosy. Whilst the wipers now work as they should the alarm is going off every bloody five minutes. i have resorted to taking the horn fuse out! checked all the doors boot and bonnet, all seem secure, any ideas?

Something like that, happened to me when i worked at SEAT on an Ibiza, had all the wiper motor apart, all the linkages and relays trying to work it out. Problem then wasnt that the bonnet was open but the switch in the bottom of the catch had broken and fallen out which equates to the same thing.

You live and you learn.
