Fabia airbag light stays on

Featured Replies

After recently having the windscreen wiper motor replaced the airbag warning light stays on. Since the motor was an essential repair it was done at a garage 45 miles from home, when it was picked up as the shop was closing we found the airbag fault but were asked to come back the following day for it to be checked out. I'm wondering if the fault light simply needs to be reset or if it is an actual fault that has been caused by the wiper motor replacement? I'm not sure what my next step should be since I won't be back near the garage for about 3 weeks. Any help is much appreciated...

Maybe battery was disconnected or something, but I don't see how anything airbag related is correlated to the windscreen wipers. :D Someone with vagcom can read the fault, and then clear it if it just an intermittent thing triggered by a voltage change or something similar.

Apparently its a common fault in fabia's airbag warning light...so the guy in the Skoda dealership said. I happened to me, they replaced the airbag sensor. Was fine, but 1000 miles later the light came back on. The second time it was in getting looked at, they replaced a wiring loom, and has been fine ever since
