I've had my vRS for about 8 months now but I've only recently used the CD player (Stream MP3) for the first time - and it seems that it has a problem! It plays CDs fine, but when I try to eject one, it pops about 5mm of the CD out before sucking it straight back in again. I've tried pressing and holding the eject button but it's the same story. In the end I had to make a grab for the CD before it shot back into the player again and yank it out....at which point the CD player made some strange whirring sounds until I switched it off.

I'm guessing this isn't normal? Anyone else had this problem? Any solutions?

Or is this a "feature"?

This has recently started to happen to me too and it happens regardless of whether the CD is pre-recorded/original or not. I also have a Stream MP3 in an 07 VRS. A solution would be great 'cause you have to be pretty quick before it disappears again.

My Stream has just started doing exactly the same thing, but is not isolated to one type of cd. Could it be weather related I wonder....?

Yeh I was using an original CD too....and I don't think it was an unusually fat CD!

I'd be v disappointed if it was something to do with the cold (and I'd feel a bit silly making a Stream blanket! ) but I'll try it again and see if it's still doing it.

I think this must be down to the god's of ICE conspiring to give me a reason to upgrade!!!
