They were, until a least 2007/08.

You mean they were initially, withdrawn and then re introduced?

They then became a free upgrade

Our mid 2007 vRS came with the free upgrade to 18" alloys, jumbo box, electric rear windows and dual zone climatronic.

i think upto the early 07 plate cars 17" were standard fit with 18" an optional upgrade. It was definitely standard on my 57 plate vRS

Nope, I mean they were an optional extra until then, after they were a standard fit, the FL vRS has 18" Neptunes as standard.

Although on Carl's 57 plate they were an option, iirc!

Depends who took up the free upgrade as well. Some owners, understandably, might have wanted to stick with 17s for lower tyre prices and a ride comfort point of view.

Carl's 57-plate definitely has 17" Zeniths on it.

Feb 07 reg - same 'upgrades' (& more) as dstev2000.

I ordered my 06 vRS with 18" wheels, jumbo box, rear electric windows, cruise control, and dual zone climate which were all optional. Shortly after for MY2007 they all became standard I believe.

My 56 plate car Had all the above for free
