I'm unlucky enough to own a duff 2003 Fabia. Apart from the flooded rear footwell, the dried out door locks and failed Cat. I recently suffered a broken timing chain. Lucky for me it snapped only when I turned the ignition key. Has any body else suffered from this? Is it common?????

Not heard of a chain actually snapping before, normally they slip due to low oil/tension.

And if its a 12v i'd be very suprised if it hasnt bent valves even if turning over.
