immodiliser light stays on

hi all

i have just downloaded vag com as my airbag light was on ,i got that sorted

but after going into the immobiliser setting to see if i could recode a spare key.

I then had to stop before i even tryed to recode key now the light stays on. i can drive the car fine.

i did not even get to the point of recoding the key all i did was enter the 4 digit code to get into the immobiliser

any help on this would be great

many thanks

putting a 4 digit code might lock the ignition from you adapting keys etc until the timer has counted down fully. This can be a couple of hours.

To program keys you need to add a 0 to the start of your correct skc

thanks aham_uk for your reply checked it this morning and the light has now gone off.

i think ill leave the key coding to the pro's

now scared gunna mess the whole car up
