Featured Replies

Hi all, I recently bought the new ipod touch and im picking up my new yeti experience monday which the bolero headunit, Just wondering what i need to get to charge and link up my ipod to this? Was looking in the skoda accesories book and see a Connecting cable for MDI(AZO 800 001 for iPod–MDI) Is this what i need and will it charge the new ipod touch?? Thanks in advance!

Nop. That's the cable meant to be used for connecting iPod to Bolero audio system but only if you have MDI (I think it is not availabele option in UK). You probably need something like this USB Car Lighter Power Adapter / Plug for MP3, MP4 or IPod. It will also allow you to charged any device that can be charged using USB. Then you can connect your IPod using AUX (Auxiliary port).

Yes, if you have ordered it with MDI all you need is the iPod lead - i bought mine off eBay as it's the same for the VW's.

Like this one or there are brand new ones on for £15 inc post.

the MDI in the Superb even works with an iPad, which is nice, but the lead is for too short, so i had to buy one of these at great expense. A Regular iPod Sync Extender, available on ebay for less than a fiver, does not work. :(

From his post it looks like @IanVW didn't ordered MDI. Also if he is from UK MDI is not even available option for Yeti.

Check back with your dealer, I believe the "forbidden MDI" is actually available in Ireland.

If you didn't specified it as additional option when you placed the order then you probably don't have it. But I am not sure if in Ireland it's part of the experience package. In my country it's extra option and in UK as far as I know you don't even have it as an option.

I checked accessories document. Kit you mentioned should be what you need but check it with your dealer. I ordered my Yeti with MDI so I am not sure what you need if you didn't order MDI with the Yeti.
