Remote Central Locking Issue

Featured Replies

Afternoon,

I went to unlock my Fabia this morning to find it wouldn't unlock using the fob. The lock and boot release functions are working correctly but not unlock emoticon-0124-worried.gif

When I unlock it with the key and open the door the alarm goes off as the security system is still active.

Has anyone had a similar issue at all?

Cheers

I did last year. Thought I'd drowned something (it had been raining hard, and I'd hit a puddle that was a lot bigger and deeper than I thought). Only lasted a few hours, and may not have been due to water at all - I had to replace the batteries in the remote shortly afterwards.

As to using the key to unlock the car, you need to put it in the ignition and turn the ignition on within 15 (?) seconds of unlocking the car to stop the alarm going off. Check the manual.

Thanks for the response.

I did think it could be the battery but both fobs are doing the same.

I've just bought some new batteries so let's see if that sorts it!

All sorted with a new battery emoticon-0148-yes.gif
