What does this dash warning light mean?

Hi,

My '06 Furby has had a dash warning light come on, the handbook says "Control system for exhaust gases", is this just a fancy name for the Lambda sensor or could it be something worse? Or should I be getting a VAG COM download? Lastly, can I still drive it?!

Try the sticky http://briskoda.net/forums/topic/132727-help-my-epc-emissions-or-cel-check-engine-lamp-is-on/ and check if your brake lights are working...

If it's your CEL light it could be your EGR valve. Have the fault codes read first...
